Cellulaze: I investigated this cellulaze procedure -- and it appears to involve a laser with small cannula inserted under the skin. Since zoloft (sertraline) and other ssri's may interfere with platelet adhesiveness (increasing risk of bleeding) the physician doing the procedure may ask you to stop such medications a week beforehand.

Yes: Cellulaze is done under local tumescent anesthesia with lidocaine. Because Zoloft (sertraline) can interfere with your body's metabolism of the lidocaine it is recommended that you stop for a few days prior to the procedure. Continuing Zoloft (sertraline) before your procedure can increase your risk of lidocaine toxicity. For more information: http://www.omahacosmeticsurgery.com/cellulite-treatement/cellulaze/
