See family doc: You can't afford to wait another month. Ask your family doctor to prescribe an inhaled steroid +/- a long acting bronchodilator in the interim. A short course of Prednisone may be needed if the asthma is severe don't wait, run.

For example, if dust makes you cough/sneeze and wheeze, cleaning and buying dust covers for your mattress and pillow can be useful.
