A member asked:

What is fovalore hyperplasia in stomach, and can or does it lead to cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Foveolar hyperplasia: Is a minor "chemical" irritation of the upper stomach lining. Associated with use of alcohol, nsaid's (advil, aleve, (naproxen) ibuprofen, naprosyn...), or from bile gastritis that could be a result of past surgery. No association with cancer. See your gastroenterologist who did the biopsy to discuss your results.
