See a surgeon: Hydrocoele is a collection of fluid around the testicle and typically presents as a painless swelling of the scrotum. Inguinal hernia is a protrusion of abdominal-cavity contents (usually intestine) through the inguinal canal, and sometimes extending into the scrotum. These two conditions are not dangerous, per se, but can lead to symptoms and in the case of a hernia, can cause blockage.
