Ask your surgeon!: Thoracic spinal fusions are rare unless done for scoliosis ( one level- disc?).Marathon training is obviously stressful to weight - bearing joints including the discs( although the stress born by each lower extremity joint... Hip, knee, ankle , discs etc. Is controversial ). Do not know the condition of your other adjacent discs as they are most @ risk for wear... Ask your spine surgeon! gl!
