A member asked:

I have been diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and just saw "with high grade lesions" but can't find any definition of the lesions. ?

It is serious: Your doctor(hematologist/oncologist) can explain it to you what it all means. You should seek a second opinion if your doctor has not given you all the information about this diagnosis, its prognosis and how to get it treated properly. Only major cancer centers have specialists who are well versed with this condition and can provide you good treatment and guidance.

See below...: This is not standard terminology. Make sure your diagnostic samples have been reviewed by a hematopathologist (a pathologist specialized in the diagnosis of hematologic diseases) and discuss the report with your hematologist/oncologist.
