Reactive airways: And asthma depends on exposure. You do clean your cats and their kennel so you are more exposed to their urine, feces and their smell. It may not actually be the cat you have reactions to. In addition, cats are not all the same, their smell, their shedding, their danders are not all the same in inhalability either. Try to find out so you know what to watch out for. Good luck.
