Arrhythmia: Normally, your heart rate should slow down, when relaxing. Anything over 100 bpm, after a couple minutes of rest, is unusual. You may have an electrical short circuit in your heart, that causes it to go faster. There can also be another condition making it increase from outside the heart itself. See your doctor for a thorough history and physical and referral to a heart rhythm specialist.
