Why is it that we often sneeze twice when we sneeze?

Not Known: People may have different patterns in the number of times they sneeze. For instance, one person may sneeze twice per sneeze attack while someone else may sneeze over ten times. The reason isn't known. (Per Dr. Brent Stromberg).

Depends: Sneezes can come singly, or in twos or threes or more. If something got inhaled t cause irritation you can sneeze several times till you clear it. If you have a cold or allergies you can sneeze a lot due to this and without rhyme or reason. My daughter sneezes every time she combs her hair! Others have different triggers that cause them to sneeze. Snuff dippers think sneezing is pleasurable.
