Many things can: Cause muscle cramps. Potassium is a common culprit as well as dehydration even at small levels. Eat plenty of fruits rich in potassium. Most common in bananas and watermelon and stay hydrated. Many other things cause cramps including cholesterol meds, sodium deficiencies, if it is severe see a doc and they can look onto it further.
