A member asked:

Why is it that i get weak/lightheaded whenever disease/sickness is discussed in class?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vasovagal response: You may be experiencing a vasovagal response. Some people's lightheadedness leads to passing out/blacking out, also referred to vasovagal syncope. It is not uncommon. If possible, avoiding your "triggers" (discussing disease, sickness) may help. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/fainting.html
