Many reasons: There could be many reasons. Anxiety, stress, underlying medical (including sleep) issues, and of course improper sleep hygiene. Try to avoid alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, large meals, bright lights, and electronics (tv, smart phone, computer, etc.) before bedtime. And go to sleep and wake up at the same time everyday.
