Schedule exam: It is common to have bleeding right after surgery for several week. It can also happen months after a hysterectomy. This is usually due to a type of scar tissue in the vagina called granulation. It is easily treated with a mild chemical cautery, but sometimes has to be removed. It usually is not a cause for worry, and can be treated in an office visit during a pelvic exam.
