Glucagon: Hi. Everyone who lives on insulin should have a glucagon emergency kit on hand. The diabetic can't use it herself/himself...it's meant for when the diabetic is too low to safely give sugar by mouth. Glucagon kit is prescription only, so you'll need to talk with your doc and get an Rx. Please have it on hand...it's critically important for diabetics with hypoglycemia unawareness.
