A member asked:

My question is what causes you to have a migraine instead of a headache?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not known: Migraine is the most common of all headaches. There are headaches where cause of headaches can be established but percentage of such headaches is low. Migraines have strong genetic propensity but exact cause has not yet been found.
