Depends: The length of time is rally not important. The time it takes depends on the reason for the cystoscopy, the anatomy of the patient, the skill of the surgeon, the health of the patient and what the surgeon is attempting to do. A quick look inside the genital/urinary tract could be from a very few minutes to 1/2 to 1 hour or more. If more is done than a cystoscope, then more time is needed.
