A member asked:

What is the best over-the-counter medicine to take to relieve joint pain in knees and hips? it is dull constant throbbing pain.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

NSAID a good choice: Use of NSAID would be helpful if tolerated....Cannot use if you have active ulceration or esophagitis.Gastritis. Drugs such as aleve or advil are otc and may be helpful but too many used can be problematic and use in hyperacidity syndromes can be difficult and dangerous. Tylenol (acetaminophen) has less gastroesophageal toxicity.
