Sternal abdomidal: Without an exam we can only estimate what it might be. Xiphosternitis? Ulcer disease? Pancreatic disease, gall bladder with referred pain? Go over this with your doc.

You will need appt: There are many, many causes for pain in that area, some of which are serious. You have already proven that it is not going away on its own (by waiting 3 days), so it is time to get an appointment to be seen. The doctor will need to ask many questions, do a physical examination, and perhaps order some lab or imaging tests. Call your doctor and ask to be seen immediately, or go to an urgent care.
