It can happen: Dx(s) can be mistaken. They are mostly determined as met by self-reports. If you are preoccupied by delusions, that can convince a doctor. But, if you want to avoid meds, i'd support your choice. Do have a good therapist working with you closely and regularly. In today's view - meds are 1st choice so you'll be going against the tide and that can be risky. Don't do it alone! good luck!
