Age is a factor: Folks have better vaginal lubrication around the time of ovulation. If you are in your 30's or 40's, you may not be ovulating as frequently as when you were younger. There are lots of "personal lubricants" out there in the market for you and your partner, and improved foreplay will certainly make you more lubricated.

Low Estrogen Status: Obviously, during any "regular cycles" blood levels of estrogen hormones change and this cyclical hhormonal changes are quite healthy during any regular cycles. But, irregular cycles; dryness of vagina ; burning sensation in that area could be due to "estrogen deficiency" that ca e treated by estrogen replacement or ocp. See your gynecologist for further evaluation.
