It's unhelpful: It's bad to start and stop Paxil (paroxetine) repeatedly. If it helps depression, it should be taken for a number of months continuously. On the other hand, if it isn't working or causes intolerable side-effects it shouldn't be taken at all. Going back and forth is the worst of both worlds. Talk to your doctor about why you take it, and any problems it causes you. Good luck.
