Is a cancer cell a single cell organism or is it just a cell? how long can it live outside of the body if it was on a surface such as a glass slide?

Cancer cell: Cancer cells are not organisms but are just cells. These cells must be supported to grow, and therefore will die out of the body if they dry out, e.g. Cells on a microscope slide.
