I am 37 weeks and 2 days pregnant. can my water break without losing my mucus plug. i felt a big pop and water in my belly swoosh around. but nothing.

Please direct all ?s: To your ob, your OB should have explained to you that if your water breaks you will lose fluid out of the vagina, your water cannot break without fluid coming out of your vagina, when your water breaks you will get a big gush of thin fluid or it will start trickling out and will not stop, if you think you water has broken please call your OB asap, if you are not having fluid come out then -no.
