How can i tell if my umbilical hernia is getting bigger?

Umbilical hernia: It is getting bigger if the protruding intestine is more and obviously, visually more bulky. What to watch out for is if it is harder to push it back, or there is pain or there is discoloration, that is being irreducible or strangulated.

Look and feel: An umbilical hernia is a hole in the abdominal wall through which abdominal contents (usually fat) can come through and appear as a lump under the skin. Either the hole or the lump can get larger with time, and it should be obvious by looking at it, and feeling the hole with your finger tip. If your concerned, see your primary care doc for an exam. Hope this helps!
