Tinea pedis: Fungus causing more severe symptoms usually means there is a secondary bacterial factor. There may also have been an injury to the toe. See a dermatologist. Meanwhile you can get terbinafine (lamasil) or Clotrimazole cream otc. Safe to use at least twice a day. Ventillate their feet. Remove shoes ; sox in the home. Be sure they sleep in bare feet. Keep toenails clipped short. Check groins ; hands.
