Acute trauma: To the knee with common symptoms: focal tenderness, effusion, inability to bear weight. Most soft tissue injuries, including internal derangements of the knee, although potentially disabling, do not usually need emergency treatment. Rec. See your pcp for evaluation, imaging (ct/mri) and treatment.
