That was a nice way: To put it. When we give antibiotics, we usually give 48 hours to see a real improvement. If there is not improvement within that time, something has to be reconsidered such as a different diagnosis, different antibiotics or different form of treatment, unless someone is obviously getting worse in those 48 hours.
