Expectoration: If it is really from the chest you can try expectorant or mucolytic and fluids. Most people equate what they feel in the back of the throat as phlegm from the lung and there is little to expectorate. You treat those with antihistamine, nasal steroid or just plain cough suppressant to make the person more comfortable. Sometimes feeling in the throat or sinus is felt as if in the lung, sinopulmonary.
