Yellow teeth: Do you have a dentist near you? Start with a professional cleaning. There are no effective home remedies. Then speak to a dentist about how to get them whiter if the professional cleaning has not made them white enough for you.

Hydrogen Peroxide: Several patients have experienced whitening of exterior stains through diluted hydrogen peroxide gels. The difficulty is that the gels, rinses and toothpastes are not capable of penetrating the teeth to actually whiten the teeth from the inside out. The true color of your teeth comes from the interior (dentin) versus the exterior (enamel). You can get an inexpensive ($75) version of the strips.

Best solution: See your dentist for the whitening system that's best for you, then follow your dentist's recommendations (diet, hygiene, etc) to keep them white. Otc's not very effective.
