Careful exam a must: Feel for masses in the testes, to rule out seminoma. Inflammation (orchitis), hydrocoele, spermatic cord mass, or hernias cause testicular pain. Please consult with your family doctor or urologist for persistent pain. Severe pain may indicate torsion of a testicle. Anti-inflammatories (advil, motrin) are indicated first. A low dose opioid (hydrocodone 5mg/500 apap) can be used
