A member asked:

Does taking cyclogest (progesterone) at day 16-27 affect ovulation if i haven't ovulated yet?i should stop at day 27 if -, but what if it is too early to pick up a +?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Timing: I usually recommend verifying ovulation prior to starting progesterone. It theoretically can delay ovulation, and you don't want to start it until you're sure you've ovulated. If your timing is right in the first place, then you won't have to worry about the pregnancy test being too early. It should be just right. In any case, if you stop it, and you find out you're preg, you can restart it.
