How long after a csection does the uterus shrink down? my tummy is hard and high up. i am concerned it hasn't gone down.

Fundal height.: For the first couple days post partum it should be just below your umbilicus (belly button) and then it progressively shrinks back to normal over the next 4-5 weeks. Poor uterine tone will usually cause hemorrhaging and should be addressed by your ob. If however you have fibroid tumors your uterus may be felt above the belly button.
