Anything else we can do to ease our 13mo pain? chronic mid ear infections. augmntn/amox don't help. tubes on 28th but in inconsolable constant pain!

Ear pain treatment: Unfortunately, not much is likely to help the chronic pain until the pressure from the infection in the middle ear is relieved by placement of the tubes. In the meantime, use of otc pain relievers such as tylenol (acetaminophen) or Ibuprofen can be used - make sure to talk to your pediatrician about appropriate dose - don't underdose. Also, think of things that relieve ear pressure on airplanes- chewing, sucking.
