Stool mucus or more?: Mucus discharge occurs in up to 50% of patients with irritable bowel syndrome, with or without pain. Mucus may also be produced in response to partial obstruction, chronic constipation, rectal dysfunction, infection, ; even from secretory villous tumors of the rectum. At the very least stool studies should help address if mucus white bits you're seeing are "worms" (pinworms, etc.) so rx can begin.

Moisture from sweating or bathing suits may cause itching. Viral infections, maceration of skin from rubbing or scratching or other trauma may cause this as well. Caffeine: Is the most common cause of anal itching not hemorrhoids as stated win the ads. Pinworms can be another cause usually in children after playing in the dirt. But cokes, coffe, tea, chocolate, and energy drinks like red bull have lots of caffeine leading to severe itching and bleeding, even waking you from your sleep at night clawing at your bottom. Stop the caffeine!

Eliminate caffeine : Completely, keep the area dry with corn starch powder, use adult hygeine wipes to cleanse after a bm, do not use tucks, (witch hazel) baby wipes or talcum powder.
