Small hypoechoic area in breast hasn't changed/grown in a year-- does this mean it's unlikely cancer? 28 years old.

That is correct: A stable cystic lesion in a young woman's breast is in all likelihood a minor fibrocystic change. The fact that it's stable over a year is supportive of this premise. If there's still concern, a skilled mammographer could probably aspirate the fluid for cytology, but i'm not sure that's necessary. Good luck.

Yes, It is unlikely: It is probably a cyst. However you should remain under the care of your doctor and have annual clinical breast examinations(cbe) jus tto be safe and sure. Good luck.
