You should: The ENT dr. Went to college, than to a 4 year medical school, then did a residency in ent. I would expect him/her to be qualified to determine if the area looks serious enough to bx or not. Yes you should: Trust your doctor , unilateral swelling of tonsil ( tonsillitis ) is not uncommon, if you are not happy take a second opinion.
