Several possibilities: Your ovulation predictor kit could have had a false positive. Alternatively you could of been positive then and again later when you weren't testing. In other words you could've ovulated two times. Or you could have had a short luteal phase and low Progesterone levels which might've caused your period to appear as only spotting. Take another hpt two weeks after your last intercourse to be safe.
