I find myself so consumed by anxiety i feel neutralized. i have chronic pain & depression. i own a retail store & must function, but can't . help!

Anxiety depression: This is of great concern. Your problems are treatable by being seen by a doctor who treats anxiety and depression problems. Also you may be having menopausal hormone problems that can cause similar symptoms. You must help yourself by getting professional help asap.

I see you are on: Xanax (alprazolam). This ameliorates symptoms of anxiety. I don't see a medication that treats depression. Xanax (alprazolam) helps with symptoms but doesn't help correct the underlying problem. I really want to encourage you to see a psychiatrist for a comprehensive evaluation. You need therapy in addition to appropriate medications. You sound like you really feel miserable - please get mental health help now.
