Not likely ALS but..: Based upon your described symptoms, ALS would be unusual. However, your symptoms could be the result of injury to the trigeminal nerve on the left side which can be the result of a dangerous and/or life-threatening problem. I would recommend that you see a neurologist, ENT and a dentist to ensure nothing else is going on.
