Breakthrough bleed: Breakthrough bleeding is a very common problem for a lot of women. It typically involves a hormonal problem but can involve a polyp or fibroid as cause as well. Rarely thyroid issues, and sometimes weight issues can cause as well (thin/heavy). It doesn't typically mean anything 'bad' but a consultation with a gynecologist may help troubleshoot what's going on for you. Hormone pills may help.
