A member asked:

I have moderate numbing pain in my shoulder constantly. what could be causing it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Your neck: Numbness in the shoulder area typically is caused by a cervical (neck) disc problem in someone your age. There are other less common causes. I would rec. That you start with your family doc, or if you don't have one, an orthopaedic surgeon to have a detailed history ; exam done. The need for further tests/x-rays or an MRI can be determined by the results of these 2 entities.
