Long story and great: Deal of information. A very brief explanation-you have damage to a cell line in your colon that leads to cancerous cells, which then over grow and are non-functional cells. These cells damage and destroys surrounding tissue, and if they get into the blood stream or lymph system, and goes somewhere else (called metastasis), then those cells damage those other organs and tissues as well.
