Discuss w oncologist: Always best to first discuss with both your urologist & your oncologist.. Carboplatin is far less toxic than Cisplatin & side effects (se) of nausea & vomiting are much less. An alternative might be fractionated dose chemotherapy, where same dose is split up over a few successive days. This usually reslts in fewer se. Always consider 2nd opinion but please don't refuse treatment. Good luck.
