A member asked:

I was just diagnosed with supraventricular tachycardia and have to go on beta blockers. advice please?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

That's ok, for now.: Depending on the kind of supraventricular tachycardia, it may be responsive to medications such as beta blockers but it may not. Oftentimes, particularly for patients your age without other health conditions, a procedure (ablation) that can be performed that can rid you of the arrhythmia permanently. Please discuss with your doctor if this is right for you.
