A member asked:

Has anyone with arachnoiditis been given gastrographin?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Treatment or cause?: Do you mean as a treatment or as a cause of archnoiditis? Certainly, gastrografin is not meant to be used in the spine and can cause arachnoiditis. I'm not aware of it's deliberate use as a treatment. If you need to use it orally, it shouldn't cause arachnoiditis. Make sure you don't have an allergy to iodine.
