Don't ask questions: Apathetic people don't ask questions. Not even rhetorical ones like yours. But there are many success stories in a recession. It's just the ratio of success to failure that decreases. Its ultimately up to you to blame personal failure on circumstances like the faltering economy or seek new solutions to your problems.
