A member asked:

Is amenorrhea from taking a progesterone only pill usual?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes-as w depoProvera: Progestin-only containing pills often induce amenorrhea..Same as depo-prover injection which is a progestin-only med..Given every 3 monthsor so and it is almost always result in amenorhea or at least just oligo-menorrhea (little period). It is good at preventing pregnancy, but not 100%..So double check for pregnancy if you are concerned..Consult your doc...Good luck.
