May slow absorption: High protein and/or fatty foods can slow stomach emptying, as well as dilute alcohol content in the stomach. Can slow absorption of alcohol, and therefore modulate levels. Of course, if you overdo either, all that stuff in your stomach may not feel too good, and you might vomit. Moderation in all things.
