Many Symtoms: Acute alcohol intoxication causes a number of side-effects. Due to its effects on the central nervous system, motor control and cognitive function are impaired. An unsteady gait, slurred speech, slow reaction time and blurred vision are common. Loss of judgement, increased impulsivity, memory impairment, disinhibition are common. Sedation, coma, and even death can occur at blood levels.
