Can you tell me about the difference between atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and coronary heart disease?

They go hand in hand: Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ascvd), or "hardening of the arteries" affects all the arteries in the body. It's related to smoking, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney failure and hereditary factors. Coronary heart disease is atherosclerosis affecting the arteries that supply the heart. It's the leading cause of heart attack (mi).
